Iscador blending process

Based on suggestions made by Rudolf Steiner in 1920/21 for processing mistletoe into a cancer preparation, a pharmaceutical process was developed that combines a specifically anthroposophical method of production with the requirements of a modern phytotherapeutic (herbal remedy).

For this purpose, the mistletoe of certain host trees is harvested in both summer and winter and extracted by applying a fermentation process. The extracts from the summer and winter mistletoe are combined in a technically demanding mixing process. The active ingredient resulting from this process has qualities that go beyond the purely substantial composition [1,2].
