Effect of mistletoe extracts on overall survival

In 33 studies on overall survival under the influence of Iscador therapy, a meta-analysis found 17 group comparisons in the randomized studies and 38 group comparisons in the non-randomized studies. In these studies, tumors were localized as follows: Breast (14), lung (7), ovary (7), cervix (5), corpus (5), skin (5), stomach (3), miscellaneous (3), colo-rectal (2), pancreas (2), liver (1) and bone (1).

The evaluation of all studies revealed the significant result that on average 1.5 to 1.8 times more patients in the mistletoe therapy group remained alive than in the control group.
