Mistletoe cultivation

The priority in mistletoe cultivation is oak mistletoe, whose natural populations are largely restricted to France. However, we also cultivate mistletoe on elms, whose occurrence is extremely threatened by Dutch elm wilt disease.

New types of leaf diseases make it necessary to cultivate mistletoe on apple trees. In the medium term, climate change will also endanger the natural populations of pine and fir mistletoe.

To promote the quality of our mistletoes, we regularly apply the biodynamic preparations and work with cosmic rhythms.

The new project "Therapeutic Landscapes" explores specific therapeutic potentials of our cultivated mistletoe sites by means of guided encounters with nature and intends to open these sites up to cancer patients in the sense of health promotion.
