The main concern of the Society for Cancer Research (VfK) is to promote integrative cancer therapy with preparations made from natural substances. Basic research, pharmaceutical developments and therapeutic practice complement each other in the projects.
Besides mistletoe (Viscum album), the proven medicinal plants include Christmas rose (Helleborus niger) and hellebore (Helleborus foetidus), which we are researching even more intensively in new projects.
Since 1948 the Society for Cancer Research has been organising conferences at which specialists exchange information on anthroposophical cancer and mistletoe research. In addition, mistletoe is the focus of public events.
