Organization

The Society for Cancer Research is based in Arlesheim (Switzerland). It is recognised as a non-profit organisation by the tax authorities of the Canton of Basel-Land. The Hiscia Research Institute designates the scientific-operational unit of the Society for Cancer Research, but does not constitute a legal entity in its own right. The association has 19 full members and is managed by the elected board (Prof. Dr. Stephan Baumgartner, Jean-Marc Decressionnière, Dr. Hartmut Ramm, Dr. Gerhard Schaller).

Donations to the Society for Cancer Research are tax deductible within the framework of the legal provisions in Switzerland.

Donations from Germany are received by the Society for Cancer Research e.V., which is also a non-profit organisation based in Eimeldingen, and are also tax-deductible within the framework of the legal provisions in Germany.
